Haha, it’s been over two years since I wrote an update here. You would think that during Covid lockdown, I would have been here more often. *stares into space, concerned* I… I don’t remember where I was in my free time during 2020. Oh no, it wAS THE ALIENS! THEY FINALLY FOUND ME. 2020 DIDN’T EVEN HAPPEN! Oh, wait! I did finish my 6th draft at some point! And I guess the rest was playing Sky: Children of the Light. That’s a good game.
Anyway, I apparently need to edit my front page, because I am no longer working on that draft of my novel! It’s out to beta readers and sensitivity readers and due back by August 31st now! If my latest twitter posts have anything to say together, it’s that I’m anxious to get started on the 7th draft.
I’m also browsing online writing conferences as I wait for in-person conferences and conventions (mostly conventions. I wanna cosplayyyy) to feel safe again. To that end, I’ve set up a ko-fi account in case anyone wants to help me afford these! It’d be great to help me improve my writing and connect and meet new writers, editors, and maybe even agents (and maybe even a future significant other? Oh, what treasures we seek!).
On the topic of meeting people, I finally revamped my series’ website! This is because I made business cards a while back to hand out at a convention that got cancelled in March 2020 *plays Taps on flute because I can’t play trumpet* and the website was included on those cards, but I had also privatized the website for reasons. Now it is back and ready to rumble! *HP is low, Mana is high, speed is… average?*
Moving away from meeting people (gross), I started a beta reading service! (Crap. That’s still meeting people. *existential crisis*) Check it out! Let me know if you’re interested! Give me stuff to read to distract me from general anxiety, songs that get stuck in my head from my retail job, and the fact that I’m meeting so many dang new people (Haha, jk, I love you all. Please get vaccinated and wear a mask, if you can. 😅❤).
Okay, I think that’s it. As always, go to bed on time, make sure you have eaten the calories you need, and say something nice to yourself. You’ve worked hard at the thing. Be gentle; You are worth the fight. ❤ Have a good!
