If there is anything I am consistent about, it is being inconsistent.
Welcome to my biannual (every two years, not twice a year :P) update. (Crap. That means I’m becoming consistent!)
Today, I could have died in a tornado. That is, everywhere else around me had tornado sirens, but I was chilling in my apartment feeling epic, oblivious, and powerful because I still had…power. Until I was told there were tornado sirens just a zip code away. D: I had two dreams about this happening this week, and yet, when the prophecy came true, I was excluded. Rude.
Anyway, updates upon updates! I am currently working on typing book 2. I have all four books to the series handwritten already, and this will be the first time I’ve revised all of book 2. It is a hot mess, but you can only clean a mess that exists! After I finish this, it will be looking back over book 1 and deciding if I revise once more, or send to agents! (Don’t ask an author when their WIP will be ready. We don’t know. Our cats don’t know. God doesn’t even know. We all just assume it will be published “soon”. :D)
Life stuff? I have a cat now! Ryka is her name and she is a forever part maine coon child. I am moving to a new apartment soon (one with an actual tornado shelter. Hmph.) and I am excited about the changes. I am constantly swimming through the job pool (it is not a fun time pool. It is a lava pool and the postings are made of sharks and shipwrecks. On fire. Because lava.). My next adventure is hopefully substitute teaching.
I now have a teaching degree through TEFL and will pursue more learning and degrees in English, Language, and/or Creative Writing as time and money allows. Hire me as a beta reader for your shtuff? (https://nkvalek.wordpress.com/home/beta/).
Um, evolving is hard. Life is painfully unexpected. Enjoy the rain and the stars. You were made to breathe. So breathe alone for a moment. The little things matter, you stardust miracle.
