Theme: Puzzle Competition (10 characters)

Do you like puzzles? Do you like competitions? Do you like Jazz?

Welcome back to another post about Character Scenarios! Today, someone went shopping, someone fell in love, someone was determined to have fun, and someone was determined to win. For a casual little pastime, I hope your characters don’t end up burning the place down due to silly competitions and shenanigans.

Let’s build a puzzle! Let’s build a puzzle together! And let’s do it faster than the other team!

(This scenario requires 10 characters and a coin to toss. Confused? Go here!)

Puzzle Time

1) 7 is standing in front of a shelf full of puzzles to buy. They are looking for a specific theme for the puzzle. What is it?

2) 3 is tasked with paying for the puzzle. Are they happy with what 7 picked?

3) 4 is tasked with deciding the best place to do the puzzle. Where do they choose?

4) 7 and 5 are working together to get the puzzle started. 10 is instructing them on the correct way to start doing a puzzle. What are 10’s instructions? How receptive are 7 and 5 to the instructions?

5) 6, why did you steal a piece of the puzzle and hide it somewhere? Also, where did you hide it?

6) 2 and 1 bought a different puzzle together and are racing to finish their puzzle before 3, 4, 5, and 7. Are they good teammates? What does puzzle did they choose?

7) 6, are you seriously switching puzzle pieces between the two puzzles? Won’t it be obvious that the pieces don’t belong?

8) 8 joins one of the puzzle teams. Which one are they more likely to join?

9) 9 and 3 are developing a fondness for each other during this competition. One of the puzzles would make a great gift for 9 to keep in their personal room. Which one does 3 want to give as a gift to 9 when it is finished?

10) 10 is trying to undo all of 6’s mischief. Who will succeed?

 11) 4 is really happy everyone is doing things together, but they dislike the competition. Why?

12) Flip a coin. If heads, 6 wins because no one can finish their puzzle. If tails, flip the coin again: If heads this time, the puzzle that 7 was working on is finished first. If tails, the puzzle that 1 was working on finishes first. How does everyone handle the outcome?

13) Will 3 get to give 9 their puzzle present?
