Never be afraid to experiment with writing even if you think an idea won’t work.
I am down to 67,000 words! I decided to take my own advice and cut off the entire ending, splitting the novel into two novels. Doing this does create new problems, as I feared it would back in college. 1) book one’s new ending needs some work to make sure we see a marked change in the characters and give Selenia more involvement in the climax. 2) New book two now only has 30,000 words and I need to write a new beginning for it. However, these problems are not difficult to fix (Maybe. Probably). I’m getting betas to tell me what they see before I get to work on new book one.
So, yeah. I’m finally within the suggested word count range for MG novels! New book one’s standing title is now Selenia Ki: Storm Clouds. New book two shall be Selenia Ki: Rising Wind, and new book three is still something to do with rain… Selenia Ki: Downpour, or Pouring Rain, or something… Book four and five (which may get combined into just book four when I get to revising them) are currently Rolling Thunder and Lightning Strike, but we’ll get there when we get there. XD
Oh! I also made new moodboards this month to help with marketing / attracting agents! I’m still playing and tweaking, but here are the current forms!

I’m also writing a new story in my Instagram challenges this month as well—Black Willow. It’s from a dream I had just before April began and I think I learned that I am more motivated to finish a story if I know how it is going to end. I’m a plantser. XD Although, I did enjoy writing Field of the Beyond back in 2020 and I don’t think I knew how it would end. O.O I just realized I haven’t put that one in my archive channel yet or on wattpad. Well, time to revisit that!
I hope everyone has a good month! The weather’s changing and I hope you get to have some nice days to go on a walk in nature! Au revoir!
