Piranesi by Susanna Clarke is not about a minotaur playing a trumpet on a random pillar. It is about a man. I cannot say anything else because the entire book is a plot twist as intricate and intense as the twisting halls and tides in the house (vast, vast world) where it takes place.

The Teller of Small Fortunes by Julie Leong

Every character had a story, a flaw or problem to overcome. Very little is as it seems on the surface. Talk about strong world building and well written characters! I laughed out loud and cried and laughed while crying several times while reading this book.

I listened to the audiobook version, and the reader deserves a massive raise or something. 10/10, Simon Jimenez and Joel De la Fuente are experts at their crafts. What a ride.
